Global Gaming Business (GGB) presented MEI with third place in the Best Productivity-Enhancement Technology category of its Gaming and Technology Awards during the 2008 Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, NV. The EASITRAX Soft Count technology is an integrated software/hardware solution places information collected in the CASHFLOW SC bill validator into a database that can be networked to multiple locations and be accessed to analyze slot floor performance.

The 2009 Gaming & Technology Awards are the industry’s standard in this field, recognizing excellence in innovation and practical application in all gaming disciplines. “The Productivity-Enhancement Technology awards recognize those products which, to put it simply, make it easier to do a casino operations job more efficiently, at less cost, or with less labor,” said Frank Legato, GGB editor. “Our judges felt that EASITRAX Soft Count’s ability to place the soft-count process online within an organization not only streamlines the daily count process, but ensures accuracy in managing the cash flow of a casino property.”

“MEI is honored to earn this award,” said Bob Mackenzie, MEI director of engineering-Gaming. “We are dedicated expanding our core competencies to improve processes that make casinos run more efficiently.”

“EASITRAX Soft Count has several features that increase the efficiency of the cash management process and also provides reports that allow the team to access data faster than ever.”

Other recipients of the Best Productivity-Enhancement Technology Award are IGT in first place for its sbX Media Manager and Bally Technologies Download Configuration Manager.
